Pros Fun To Play, Graphics, Good Value
Cons Loading TImes

Burnout is simply the best racing game on the planet for the PSP. The steering is very easy and is actually realistic! I have had the game for a long time and still find it fun to play, especially on those long car trips. The gameplay is great and the driving is smooth. The many game options like... Pros Many modes and long gameplay
Cons gets very difficult in story mode

There are several modes to play on this game making it a fun a varied game. In the arcade mode there are options to a quick race or a crash or an eliminator round. In a race you can race against computer generated players, you can cause then to crash in order to win the race. In the crash mode you... Read full review »

Pros Burnout in portable form, great visuals and effects.
Cons Events aren't balanced out, repetitious, music is ripped from previous EA games
Recommended it? Yes

The psychotic driving game Burnout comes to the PSP with "Burnout legends" and the transition actually delivers a pretty solid driving game.

Burnout is clearly the most destructive and chaotic racing game of all time. The idea is less about racing opponents and more about destroying just... Read full review »

Burnout Legends Review By Newbie to Burnout..

Pros Great visuals, speed of play, and intensity.
Cons Was a bit pricey for a PSP game.
Recommended it? Yes

I am new to the PSP and own three games currently. They are Burnout Legends, Wipeout Pure and Lumines. As some background, I normally am not a fan of arcade-style racing games as I would rather play PGR3 for example.

With that said....

I got Burnout Legends for the PSP last... Read full review »

Burnout drifts to the PSP

bydonut_man23 Feb 10, 2006

Pros Intense speed, lots of variety, plenty of depth, many cars, looks and sounds slick
Cons Need to use multiplayer to unlock all cars(20), few jaggies, horendous and repeating load...

Well I have to be honest. Although I played Burnout 3 I never actually owned it. As I waited for the price to fall to 20 bucks EA brewed up a portable reincarnation of its Burnout series and crammed as much as they could from 1-3 in Burnout: Ledgen. So it was either Burnout 3 (which was already a... Read full review »

What am I missing?

Pros fast load times, lots of courses
Cons why is it it's own game?

Perhaps I'm missing something, but from what I've played "burnout" should be part of another game, not really a game by itself.

I'll be honest I've never played a burnout game before but I have Midnight Club 3 and Ridge Racer for PSP and love them both, alone with a host of other racing... Read full review »

Crashing Into Buses While Riding The Bus - Burnout Legends

Pros It's a fully loaded Burnout game on the PSP
Cons It's far more Burnout 3 than anything else despite the 'Legends' moniker
Recommended it? Yes

It was inevitable that Burnout would finally make an appearance on portable consoles, seeing that the PSP finally brought the power to render the experience without major sacrifices (though the game is coming to the Nintendo DS in less pretty form). However, instead of merely porting a version of... Read full review »

Wow, been over 2 years since my last review. Judging by the lack of emails inquiring about my whereabouts and why I have not been writing, it would appear that no one missed me. To that I say, meh. But I digress. I'm bored, hence I write now. You read now, afterwards, we can have do a happy dance... Read full review »

Burnout Legends (PSP)

You can barely move for racing games on the PSP, which wouldn’t normally be a problem except almost all of them are excellent. It’s not a launch title, but Burnout Legends is looking like being an obvious must-have for anyone who’s ever wanted to be a dangerous driver but been held back by a social conscience. Relatively little has been seen of the game so far, bar a short playable demo which demonstrated a highly impressive level of graphic detail that makes it look just like Burnout 3: Takedown. In fact, the game will, rather like Ridge Racer, be a sort of best of compilation of features from all the previous Burnout games, including tracks from Burnout 1, 2 and 3. A total of nine gameplay modes are promised, including the infamous Crash, Pursuit, Burning Lap, Road Rage, Eliminator, Race, Time Attack, Legends Face-Off and Legends GP. Four of these (Race, Crash, Pursuit and Road Rage) can be played in wireless multiplayer mode with up to four people. One other interesting element is that each game will ship with five cars out of a random selection of twenty-five -- with the other twenty only being unlocked as you play opponents in multiplayer. To be honest, a port of one of the previous games would have been fine for most people, but this looks like being a lot more than just that. -- Harrison Dent
