I use this camera for photo shoots with freinds and family. The picture quality is great. I am sure that there is a newer model out as canon have changed the naming structure of their higher end models, it may be called a 5d mark 2 now. Now that Canon has brought out the 7D, the 5D will come down in price and I can highly recommend it to serious amateurs.

This camera helps me take beautiful pictures!
I absolutely LOVE this camera! I upgraded to this from the Canon 20D, and the results are beautiful! I can shoot at ISO 800 and have no grain if I get exposure good. I use the Canon 85 mm 1.8 with this and the bokeh and smoothness of my pictures at 1.8 are amazing. I would definitly reccomend this... Read full review »
Full frame semi pro camera
I feel I do this camera an injustice by calling it semi-pro, as a professional photographer this is my main camera over the 1D range. It is a rugged well laid out camera that doesn’t weigh as much as the Pro cameras, which is great when you are holding it for 12 hours a day.
