Dyson DC25 Multi-floor does it all
I've had a Dyson DC25 for over two years now and have to say it is one of the easiest vacuums to operate & clean.
The head width is perfect for those narrow spaces & it is reasonably quite.
There is only a push of a button to change from bare floors to any height carpet.

Great - but expensive
I've had this vacuum for just over a year and have had nothing but a good expierence with it. It is easy to use, and does a great job cleaning.
