Oh dear! We bought this Hotpoint Frost Free Fridge/Freezer FFA52 from Comet as it was a good looking unit from a reputable manufacturer. It had the large volume fridge section on top we required and although the freezer section is probably just too small for our family of 5 the fact it was also frost free at a reasonable price swayed our judgement.

Within 6 months we had problems. The fridge section has worked impeccably but the freezer has cost us 2 loads of food totalling nearly £158.00

All of a sudden the freezer decided it would not work. After 4 engineer visits the problem was identified and fixed....took a month though. If yours decides not to work ask the engineer to check something called the gutter heater.

Thankfully all seems well now, but our confidence in the unit has been shaken.
