Great for elite players
You only get 1 pad when you buy the Elite console, so if you want to play any game with 2 players on your local machine you have to buy an extra controller, You have 2 main options. Wireless or Wired.

An accessory you cant do without
If you have an xbox 360 then you cannot be without and xbox 360 wireless controller. It is an essential part of the magic of the 360. With the official xbox controller you may be paying abit more than other controllers, but for good reason. The xbox controller is more durable, and feels like a better quality.
