Easy to Use,
Everyday Use, Carpet, Pet Hair, Hardwood Floors
I live away from home during the week and only head home at the weekends. The last thing I want to do when I get back is to tackle the housework. After moaning for a long time, my husband finally caved in and found a local lady to come in and clean. Actually, he found a guy to work on our garden and then he brought his wife along and she started to look after us.
We are horribly untidy people and we've always struggled to keep cleaners. When Jane started to make discontented (and entirely justified) noises about our horrible vacuum cleaner, I was terrified that we were about to get dumped. So I asked her what she wanted and she told me that she would only ever recommend Sebo cleaners. I contacted a friend who collects vacuum cleaners and he hunted down an X4 on ebay and sent me a link.
I hate using vacuum cleaners - or rather I DID but I don't any more. Thankfully Jane gets a lot more use out of it than I do but even so I don't fear this one the way I did our horrible badly designed Vax. It's equally impressive on carpet and hard floors - I use it on wood and tiled floors and it just doesn't seem to mind. I bought it a turbo brush attachment for the stairs because I felt that was one area where it wasn't so great, and now that's also fine. If I ever get sufficiently domesticated to think about other cleaning challenges, I'm confident that a call to my friend, a quick recommendation and he'll identify another widget to buy in order to maximise the impact of the Sebo.
What else can I tell you? That it's much lighter than it looks, that it almost seems to power across the carpet under it's own steam and it has never let me down. It did object when Jane sucked up half a Christmas tree but I think I would too. I can't tell you how easy it is to change the bag because I've never done it (I know, bad girl).
I love our Sebo - because it's wonderful and it stopped us getting dumped by our cleaner. She left me a note the week it arrived - in CAPITALS and double underlined saying "THANK YOU - it's fantastic!"
