I bought these when, just before going on holiday, my trusty Sennheiser CX300 broke. I sent off my CX300 to be replaced (under warranty) but still needed some headphones to make the long flight bearable. Not wanting to spend too much I plumped for these Sony.
Now I didn't expect much from them - not at that price, but what I got was a tinny sound with fairly poor bass quality, and uncomfortable ear pieces that fell out far too easily. They worked, and as I said I wasn't expecting much more for the price, but still.
