Ideal for confectionery, jars, soaps and other cosmetics, it comes with faux leather handle, hinges and straps. The 12 empty wicker hamper is made from top quality autumn willow that we avoid spraying with any nasty stains and varnishes. Willow is a sustainable crop that grows in abundance and is cropped regularly throughout the year. To achieve its premium darker colour, the wicker is boiled for several hours until it reaches its natural matt finish. The great thing about this process is that essentially each empty wicker hamper is unique. It is hand-made so the size and colour will vary slightly from batch to batch. We think this adds to its charm. 14 Natural wicker hamper basket made from steamed autumn willow, finished with sturdy faux leather straps for closing the hamper baskets and a decorative faux leather carry handle. Willow is naturally sustainable as it grows prolifically throughout the northern hemisphere and is harvested regularly through the year. For a more natural finish, we boil our willow for 6 - 8 hours to achieve the dark colour rather than using varnish or dyes. This 14 inch wicker basket is ideal for use as a small food gift hamper and will comfortably hold two bottles of Champagne.
