I Ordered a DVD player and a digital camera. I have chosen free delivery option (available for orders above £30). I ordered on Friday. I received a main on saturday that they are dispatched and I received the items are delivered on Tuesday. What more can you expect.

I have brought numerous books for myself and some leappad books for my son and never fail to be amazed at the speed and condition that they arrive in, I can't fault Amazon, and with the competitive pricing I have no need to shop anywhere else!

Bought Webroot Window Washer software and received this without Product Registration Number, a must if you need to download product updates. Informed Amazon and twice they sent me substandard software. To their credit Amazon owned up to their mistake and were quite apologetic and replaced the product immediately. Service was frustrating initially as they kept on sending me naff product. Despite this I was quite pleased with their customer care-satisfactory and courteous service. Price is very competetitive too. Would have no hesiatation about using Amazon again.

Ordered a microwave oven and waited three weeks for the item to be delivered. After this time I contacted them by email but it took them a long time to get back to me. The prices are good but the service is poor and very slow. In the end I cancelled the order and went else where. Two days later I received my Microwave.

Ordered on a Evening got delvered after 3 days on an express delivery. The dispatch from amazon to parcelforce took 2 days. The web said dispatch in 14hrs but gave me the date of arrival and got it on the that day.

Amazon is a phoenominal system, well designed with lots of information to tell you exactly what is happening with your order. I have spent around 350 pounds with amazon and each and every product I have bought has been in impeccable state at a very competitive price, Amazon is well worth buying from.

any idea what's happening with amazon.co.uk these days? for years they've been brilliant. on 9th july i ordered a dozen books, all with 1-day delivery apart from 1 with 4-day delivery. since then, i have had nothing but fobbing off & being ignored ! on 13th they took my money, the next day put it back, since when they have not answered any of my questions asking what the problem is... now the 23rd, and who knows what's going to happen... :(

Amazon are, it must be said on the whole reliable and honest, they won't rip you off. BUT before I eulogise to gushingly let me say on occassions I have ordered CD's which have taken weeks to arrive, then the date of delivery keeps slipping, then you finally get an email saying

i have ordered from amazon ever since i got the internet. during this time i have experience only one problem, i ordered some cds and after being told that they would be 24 hours they were still not at my address after 3 weeks. i contacted their customer services. they gave me an excuse about the products being lost in the post, refunded my money and dispatched another set of cds which i receved the next morning. super service and great prices!

Ordered quite a few things from Amazon, and had few delivery issues, although virtually everything has been 24hr availability. I have had to return one item and I dislike email only system which gives long delays. However once the issue had been explained they sorted it out quickly and efficiently

I've had satisfaction buying books from Amazon in the past but have been disappointed recently after ordering a Minolta Dual Scan 3. Their web site told me that delivery would be 2-3 weeks but as their price was the lowest I decided to order. After 3 weeks I received an email saying delivery would be an extra 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks another email arrived stating that Amazon had 'failed to source the item'. A further internet search showed that the Dual Scan 3 had been superceded by the Dual Scan 4 but after waiting 5 weeks without being told this fact I ordered the new item from another company.

Tried to order a Panasonic DM E50R DVD recorder. Ordered on the 7th December as a Christmas present for my parents complete with gift wrapping. It never came and I discovered Amazon wrote to me on the 27th saying it was delayed until 27th Jan. Despite knowing the order was for Christmas I never received any call/apology before that date. I replied and asked for a firm date, they claimed they could not give a firm date and around the 27th I would know. This date came and past and on the 29th Jan, received another mail saying delayed to the 7th. On the 9th, received a mail that THEY had cancelled the order, no apology, no good will vouchers, nothing just a plea to shop with amazon.co.uk - now I do not think I can ....

I praise Amazon for a lot of things, however Customer Care is not to my likeing. I had orderd an iPod in November, but the waiting time was 4-6 weeks. I decided to go for the 15gb after a few weeks to keep down the costs and also the waiting time was shorter (1-2 weeks) When 2 weeks was up i was curious to find out where my order was. I checked out my email inbox to find that my iPod would take another 6 weeks to arrive because of the amount of orders made. I am very mad at amazon for this, however i still do think amazon is one of the best internet ran eshop.

I've shopped on amazon many a time and I would do it again. Definitely one of the best and safest placest on the net. I am not looking forward to dealing with their customer support again though. The information about a digital camera I got from them was frammentary, incomplete and incorrect in many aspects. Better do your own research. As for on-time delivery: mostly yes. Sometimes they are a couple of days off.

The customer support leaves a LOT to be desired, as well as their penchant for grossly understating expected delivery times sometimes. Only bought a couple of products from them... a DVD player which shipped in the time stated and a Nokia HDB-5 headset which was advertised as

I have purchased many items from Amazon over the past few months including books, software, electronic equipment and DVDs. Everything arrived on time or slightly earlier. Amazon is an excellent service coupled with very competitive pricing. I cannot comment on their Customer Support because I have not needed to use the facility.

I ordered a flash memory pen in december. Delivery was supposed to be 1 - 2 weeks max. I emailed at the end of the second week to confirm my delivery will be despatched on time and the 'computer generated' response said 'Yes'. However the very next day I had another 'computer generated' response saying another 2 weeks minumum!! I tried to get in contact with Amazon but it is impossible. This is the 5th time my orders have been delayed and I have only placed 6 orders with them! I know if countless people who have had exactly the same experience as myself. If I were you, I would buy elsewhere, (I'm certainly going to from now on) even if the cost is slightly more than Amazon. (Amazon aren't that great on prices if you shop around). Amazon are keen to get your money but are useless at supplying the goods on time as promised. USELESS. PS. I hope the Managing Director of Amazon is reading this.

I ordered a game for my pc on boxing day. It said that it would be dispatched within 1- 2 weeks as they had only just got an order in for the game. When i came home on the afternoon of 30th December, the game was waiting for me on the other side of the door. It was an unbelivable that it had arrived so quickly. Therefore i have now ordered another 3 things off there as they are much much cheaper than anywhere else. I would reccommend amazon to anyone.

Many many orders with amazon for at least 3 years. Many have come on time, with no problems. Never received fault goods (yet - touch wood). A few issues they need to sort out, I ordered a webcam & it took them 4 months to state they couldn't send it out. Customer service is poor, but generally acceptable considering the savings... hope this helps.

I ordered a digital camera from Amazon and now over a week later, I`m still waiting for them to dispatch it, even though they have it in stock. Customer Services have been no help - I`m really disappointed that they have failed to live upto their reputation and I would urge people to view their delivery estimates with the same level of cynicism that I now do!

Price was a little better than my usual supplier of computer hardware, so I placed an order for an item that should have been dispatched within 24 hours and delivered in 4/5 days - according to the website. However, after 9 days the item had not even been dispatched. Difficult to contact by email but eventually found a phone number to cancel the order. Had the item delivered by my usual supplier on the following day. Will never use again and would not recommend.

Two orders dealt with efficiently - Alan Titchmarsh's How To Be A Gardener Book 2 & West Wing DVDs, Complete Seasons 1&2. Both were ordered in the busy period approaching Christmas. Acknowledgement of orders was prompt, and delivery effected within period specified. No rating for customer support - for the simple reason that it wasn't needed! On this showing, excellent service. If I need to order on the Internet again, and if they stock it, I will use Amazon.

I bought an apple 10gb 3G Ipod from amazon about 2 weeks before xmas day, expecting the high demands of christmas time to slow down their delivery times. It arrived about 4 days later. I am always very satisfied with amazon and that's the reason I always buy my goods from them. Their prices are also the cheapest I can find. To me they are the #1 online store and my first stop for buying goods online.
