I Cancelled the order as they were going to charge me £40.00 To deliver the wood preserver to Guernsey CI. I know it's not them that make the charges but the couriers do. I would like to order items in the future if the postage isn't to expensive and they take the VAT off as we don't pay in the CI.

The process of ordering and delivery was good and better than other similar sites. However, the wheelbarrow that I bought was of poor quality. The parts were poorly designed and engineered and didn't fit together. It took about 1.5 hours to put together (12 bolts only) because the three main parts, frame, wheel & pan didn't fit together.

Instead of "a whot. Nooo.. never 'eard of those" a search on diytools.co.uk can usually find just the item and at a very reasonable price. Shopping at diytools.co.uk is a straightforward process, greatly assisted by the massive range of items, with reasonable delivery charges and very good customer service from ordering through to receipt of goods. On the rare occasion there has been a problem it has been dealt with speedily and efficiently and courteously.

Web site gave me a full description of the product I wished to buy - and alternatives - and was easy to navigate around. Delivery of my work bench was so swift that it arrived even as I received DIYTools' email in reply to my query about the likely delivery time, telling me to contact the warehouse to find out when it would be delivered!

The wheelbarrow came damaged - dented and some of the black protection had come off. It was not easy to assemble as the mount points did not exactly line up. It would have been too much trouble to return so I kept it.

One item out of stock and unavailable - firm phoned and we discussed an alternative which was supplied quickly.
