Genuine 3Com XFP transceivers are industry- standard, hot-swappable link adapters that plug into 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP module slots to connect to 10-Gigabit fiber- or copper-based cabling.The 3Com 10GBASECX4 XFP transceiver enables one 10GBASE-CX4 backbone link for organizations requiring high performance local connections over copper CX4-based cabling. The CX4 standard supports link lengths between 1 meter and 15 meters. This link adapter can be used in 3Com switches and modules that support XFP transceivers; when used with 3Com Switch 4500G and Switch 4800G devices, maximum supported distance is 3 meters.
