The Jawbone has a small piece of rubbery plastic that protrudes from the bulbous microphone and sits flush against your face, and this sensor tells the Jawbone whether or not you're speaking and can remove background noise from your ongoing speech signal. It can also dynamically adjust the volume of the incoming audio from your call.

The Bottom Line: When I can be on a business call with my kids screaming in the background and no one knows the better... you have a winner.
Review: I'm on my phone a lot and needed something that fit my lifestyle.  Now, not to worry... I'm not one of those people who wear their Bluetooth out in public, in restaurants, etc.  However, I'm on the phone a good five to six hours...

Review: Our employer purchased these because of the reputation that came with them.  They do have decent sound quality, but do not reduce background noise as well as they claim.  And the voice recognition leaves a lot to be desired.
