What's with the hand held hoses lack of suction.

Pros: I like to see all the dirt being picked up.

Cons: The hand held hose is completely useless.

Bissell Lift-Off is a cleaning nightmare....

Pros: Great suction on carpets and pet hair, long cord to get to many rooms.

Cons: Horrible to clean, horrible on stairs and bare floors

The Bottom Line: If you have wall-to-wall carpet and don't mind a dusty cleaning mess when emptying the canister, this vacuum does a good job. Otherwise, skip the Bissell.
