Excellent Lens

The Bottom Line: I recommend this lens to anyone who considers him/herself more than just an amateur. There are less pricey similar lenses available but this one is excellent.
Review: After switching from film to digital, I realized just how much the 1.6x crop factor of the new camera limited my wide-end abilities. I wanted that extra "wow" factor back, and this lens definitely delivers.

The *best* travel lens for cropped sensors

The Bottom Line: Fantastic, now I almost ignore the standard 18-50 mm range.
Review: Right from the purchase it has become my top lens - I carried it on my travels to Rome and Amsterdam and having the ultra-wide focal length paid off. Most of the photos in the following galleries was made with this lens:

The Bottom Line: Great for landscapes, dramatic perspectives. If you need it immediately, it's worth the high price. If not, wait for price drop.
