The Aspheric element with two Aspherical surfaces provides excellent optical performance. With closest focusing distances of 1.15 ft, this zoom lens is ideal for use in applications where portability is an important consideration. In addition, the ring-type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) enables fast and silent Auto Focusing (AF) along with full-time manual focus when in the Auto Focusing (AF) mode.

The Bottom Line: The range on this lens makes it a great walk around lens. IS system allows hand holding at lower speeds. Some love it, some hate it.
