It's Good For: Travel, Outdoors, Gifts, Replacement, Home
Review: As a camera, it has a real exciting 12x zoom. The photos are sharp even at night and in low light (without flash in automatic mode). As I am no expert in photography, I don't  pretend to be, I can tell you if I tried different ways of lighting...

The Bottom Line: Tried to be too much of everything but needs RAW mode or a better sensor to make it all work.  Better to have fewer pixels with higher fidelity.
Review: As an enthusiastic amateur photographer I already had a DSLR but I wanted a smaller cam for candid and convenient travel shooting.  Had a long hard look at the Canon G10 and I loved all the features, but it was just too chunky to carry with...
