The CNBR-914W is a Wireless Broadband Router with four 100/10Mbps N-Way Switch ports and one IEEE802.11b wireless access point. With this device, an entire network, wired and wireless, can access the Internet using a single high speed ADSL or Cable modem connection. A built-in firewall protects the local network from outside intruders, while a built-in Access Control provides LAN administrators the capability to limit Internet access for individual workstations. Authorized Internet users are able to access Web, FTP, and other servers on your LAN. The "Exposed Computer" and "Special Internet Application" features allow users to use special-purpose servers, two-way communication devices, and other non-standard Internet applications (such as ICQ, Netmeeting, Game, Quick Time, Real Player, etc.). Pros: Price
Cons: Very difficult (nearly impossible) installation, Un-helpful user guide
The Bottom Line: Avoid this router if you want a wireless network, it will give you a lot of hassle and frustration. With few dollars/euros more, you can buy a more reliable router.
Review: I bought the wireless broadband router CNBR-914W and two wirelesses PCI cards CNWL-311, from the Internet, to set a home network between two PCs and be able to have access to the Internet through a DSL modem. Both PCs were running Windows 2000. ...
