The Bottom Line: Toasts bread, bagels, and muffins, makes toasted cheese sandwiches, and looks nice. 4 slots are great for a larger family. Other than the price, I ve got no complaints.

Designed for heavy duty use, this tough toaster can generate toast at a rate of up to 130 slices per hour - as well as waffles, bagels and tea cakes. Not only can you select the number of slots in operation – useful for saving electricity – but also switch between bagel/tea cake and defrost settings. You can buy an optional sandwich cage to further extend its range, and there’s even an adjustable foot to prevent ‘worktop wobble’. Finally, each of these Dualit toasters is assembled by hand and the assembler's individual mark can be found on the base plate.
