One of the best

Pros: Supports Rambus Memory, Excellent performance, Very good price

Cons: Cant go to 2Ghz.....Uses Slot 1.....but that's OK

The Bottom Line: For cost and performance, even after a few years this is still one of the best boards to go with.

Review: I have built quite a few systems using the VC820. Except for the fact that it uses a slot1 CPU I rate it as one of the best boards out there. It is a very strong and reliable board that I've never had any problems with. My own PC has a one in it...

There are better choices

Pros: I found on clearance

Cons: Intel 820(Camino) Chipset, Rambus, some incompatibilites

The Bottom Line: If you dint mind numerous headaches with conflicts and reformatiing HD a few times and can find for under $40 go for it.

Review: I had previously purchased a Soyo Mobo when I was building my new PC about 8 months ago, The Soyo was Dead on Arrival,So I called the vendor and the only board left in stock that had a slot1 interface was this Intel VC-820. I lucked out when I purchased...
