5 years trouble free

Pros: Great Time base corrector, the dubbed VHS tapes came out better than the originals.

Cons: This was an expensive unit to buy, almost double the price of it's current counterpart.

Review: Well I have been using this as a Prosumer transfer and editing unit for about 5 years. It was expensive at the time but has more than paid for itself within the first 6months I've had it... I can recommend checking out JVC's latest offering with HDD/DVD ...

Expensive for what you get

Pros: good idea, decent design

Cons: my unit failed after 1 year, no firewire port on back

Review: bought this unit when it was the only consumer MiniDV/S-VHS combo unit. worked great for about a year. After i bought an additional camera, i started having problems with the MiniDV tapes playing properly. It developed extreme video and audio dropouts ...
