JVC makes it possible for you to record your own CD's with the XL-R5000BK. It's a full function digital recording studio packed into a single component; with a Three-Disc, Triple-Tray CD Changer and a companion CD-R/CDR-W Recorder. It is possible to mix between the CD & Line, Line & Mic or Mic & CD. A timer is available for unattended playback or recording and a full-function remote is also included.

A great multi recording tool

Review: I have had my jvc for about 4 years now and it still records like it was brand new. I'm really into music so, I found that the xl-r5000 is perfect for recording cds, tapes, records. I'm also in a band so, the jvc is perfect for recording live gigs...

STAY AWAY FROM JVC - UNRELIABLE

The Bottom Line: I warn you, JVC products are not reliable and good luck getting warranty service.
Review: BOUGHT THIS MODEL FROM J&R MUSIC IN NEW YORK, WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.

IT BROKE DOWN ALMOST TO THE DAY THAT THE MANUFACTURER'S ONE YEAR WARRANTY EXPIRED.

A must addition to home systems

The Bottom Line: If you are an avid cd collector or want to be a cd sharer this is a great product.
Review: Recently picked up a factory reconditioned from e-bay for 240$. It took me a while to learn how to use all the bells and whistles after studying the manual. Is a lot faster than pc recorders I feel. I believe it makes a much more sturdier recording...
