Pros: Improvement over previous versions

Cons: Mostly outdated, going from VC6 to VC8 is difficult

The Bottom Line: Upgrade from Visual Studio 6 / Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2008 unless you have special reasons to go to Visual Studio 2005
