From inception, the SE was designed to be the most optically advanced Porro prism binocular in the world. A specially designed eyepiece redefines optical clarity and sharpness. High definition BaK4 prisms, super high grade optical glass and Nikons exclusive multilayered lens and prism coatings, in concert with this eyepiece, deliver images that "exceed the theoretical limit of resolution" (According to Better View Desired, the highly regarded source for critical optics evaluation).

The Bottom Line: I recommend this binocular on the basis of quality optics and superb build. Some people - me included - will prefer the handling of a roof prim binocular.
Review: The Nikon 8x32 SE binocular is ideal for the bird watcher who wants quality optics in a light weight and compact package.
