The new TC-14E II has now been updated to match with the new AF-S lenses, and will maintain full metering and focusing with compatible cameras and lenses. This converter will increase the focal length of the lens by 1.4x, and reduces the lens aperture by one f/stop.

The Bottom Line: The TC14E II is an awesome addition to a 300mm fixed focal length lens and delivers surpisingly good results. It works poorly with zooms.
Review: The Nikon TC14E II is Nikon latest incarnation of its 1.4X teleconverter. It differs only cosmetically from the earlier TC14E and both can be considered interchangeable.
