Not Hard Drive but gives you lots of same for much less

The Bottom Line: If you don't want to shell out for HDrive recorder but don't want the most basic recorder. This is a good compromise. But mine broke!!!
Review: UPDATED APRIL 2007

Great machine until one day when it couldn't read some discs that it read previously. Commercially made and burnt. Played still 90% of them. Couldn't even play back the RAM it came with. Actually sometimes had a GRINDING...

It is cheap but what good is it?

The Bottom Line: Stay away from it!!!!
Review: This is the second unit of this miserable machine that died on me. It is so awkward to use, and built so disgustingly cheap!

Lurid Panasonic even scrimped on putting a cooling fan in the case, the unit overheats and breaks down in the middle...

The Bottom Line: Take the plunge into recordable DVDs with this basic unit.
Review: Now that DVD recorders cost what I paid for my first DVD player years ago, I felt a little tugging from the techie side of my brain: it was time to buy one and play. The cable DVR only stores so much, and of course doesn't incorporate a DVD recorder...
