Based on the SE2200 that has gained recognition around the world, the new SE2200A studio condenser continues the tradition with improved specs. It uses the same 1 gold vacuum plated diaphragm, but it's electronics are all new providing low self noise for better signal to noise performance. It features switchable 100Hz low cut filter and -10dB pad, and comes complete with rugged shock mount and travel case. The new SE2200A- improved performance and outstanding value.

Even for the $299 street price it is a super microphone and in fact one that I would recommend as a starter mic.
