Good Lens for this money

by  akoloskov ,  Mar 18, 2005
3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Price, Image quality, weight, speed.
Cons: Plastic body, not as fast as Canon USM lens.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I owe this lens almost for a year.
Good lens as everyday use lens. For portraits - still good, but, for example Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro is better.
Despite of the plastic body it fills solid. Not so solid as Canon L series lens, but for $360...

Don't want to dump a grand on Nikon's 2.8zoom... Tamron has a great alternative

by  jkl34 ,  Apr 14, 2004
4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Inexpensive, 2.8 aperature, quick focus, zoom lock, a good product overall
Cons: Body could be constructed tougher, could be sharper, sunshield is made of really weak plastic
The Bottom Line: Good buy
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The Tamron 28-75 XR AF is one of my favorite lenses. It's hard to beat the quality, speed and price compared to any other lens. Maybe my 50mm 1.4 is better, but not by much.

- Suited for multitasking
I've used it for about 6 weeks now...
