Exceptional Clarity

Pros: On screen display, clean sound, auto set-up, vast array of custom settings.

Cons: Remote is a bit tricky to understand.

The Bottom Line: Reproduces crisp clear sound to all channels. Bass management could be more defined, however for the price range this is the winner.

Review: Previous to this model I owned the Pioneer VSX-815K 100w per ch receiver. Although the Pioneer's auto set-up seemed to be more extensive, the Yamaha actually brought my speakers to life. The sound is very clean and pure. The on screen display ...

Movie lovers dream

Pros: Component up convert, high current

Cons: No balance, controls very complex, YPAO errors

The Bottom Line: Great for a home theater setup
