One of the little things in life that make me happy daily.

The Bottom Line: Why brew the junk sold in the can, when you can have the real thing?
I purchased this Krups coffee grinder about 2 years ago and it has never failed me. It stands almost 7 inches in height, and the oval circumference is 11 inches. It takes up very little counter space, as the base of the unit measures 4 X 3 inches. This item is 120 volt grinder, pretty powerful little unit.
You simply measure the amount of beans you want to grind and place the clear plastic cover on the black base (it may come in different colors). Along side the top, there is a large button, you depress that grinds the coffee beans. I tend to depress the button several times, to create a pulse, until most of the beans are ground, but still a few are almost whole. The clear cover allows you to view the grind.
What this does is create many surface points to the coffee bean. The more surface points, the more flavor comes out in the coffee. You DO NOT want to create a powder. This will make the coffee murky and you'll have sediment in the bottom of your cup. I turn the grinder upside down, and the clear plastic lid becomes a vessel to transport the beans into my coffee maker.
To clean it, all I do is unplug the unit, as it has no on/off switch, and wipe it with a paper towel. The blade is sharp! I suppose this can be used for grinding spices, like nutmeg and pepper, but I would think this would influence the flavor of my coffee, so I use it exclusively.
I don't like having one use items in my kitchen, unless they actually are worth it. I have a 10' x 10' working area in my kitchen. Do we ever have enough cabinets? Well, this little gadget perpetually remains on my countertop, and being black, it is not very prominent.
The exterior of the unit is a hard plastic and has not chipped or scratched (that I can see).
This is an inexpensive item, I think I paid about $20.00 for it several years ago and I believe the price has remained about the same. I feel it is worth every penny.
Using this unit does add a few extra steps to your normal coffee making procedure, but in my opinion, it is worth it.
I love the smell and taste of fresh ground coffee every morning. Although the grocer can grind it, the flavor is more bold, when you keep your coffee beans in an air tight container and grind them as you use them.
I also love to go to the Warehouse stores, like Costco or BJ's Wholesale and buying the Blue Mountain coffee. It is nearly orgasmic.
I do not know about the warranty information, as I probably threw out the papers. This inexpensive investment has been very dependable for me and I never had to worry about it. It would probably be cheaper to buy another one, if this failed, than to ship it out anyway.
