10 (maybe 15 ) years and still as good as new, save for the cord

Well the electrical cord finally shorted out at the base where the grinder ends and cord begins. Other than that, this grinder has been faithful and works as good as the first day home. I have had this so long I cant recall, but it must be I purchased one when they first arrived on the market.
I really appreciate reviews (just read the Mr. Coffee grinder review that says its not built to last) so I'm going to get another Krups! This grinder will coarse grind as well as do a lovely powder for espresso. I wish the cup were removable, and all should know that it is not. There are no 'settings' just the on/off - but think about it...grinding coffee is just time related; more time for a finer grind. The safety feature is nice; the lid must be down firmly to grind.
And the price! If you don't need to grind more than 1/2 cup of beans this grinder is great - and for me, outlasted my memory...
