Renaissance, indeed! A new era of mouse-enlightenment in my home.

Date of Review:  Jan 10, 2003
The Bottom Line: Repetitive movement afflicts millions of computer users, and the mouse is usually the perpetrator. This mouse is light-years ahead of standard mice, ergonomically speaking. Need I say more?
Review: I've tried trackballs. I've tried wrist-braces. I've tried software that "understands" voice commands. Nothing helped. Nowadays, though, I practically worship the Rm500gps Ergocomfort Renaissance Mouse. I have tendinitis in both wrists (among other...

Great design, problems with implementation

Date of Review:  Dec 2, 2004
Review: I have used this mouse for a few years, at home and at two different job sites, and it has made a big difference in my mousing endurance. This is an excellent design. However, I have had problems with the last two I bought. There is a manufacturing...

3M Renaissance Mouse after Two Years

Date of Review:  May 21, 2003
The Bottom Line: Dramatically better than a standard mouse, but just not the best choice available any more.
Review: I began using this mouse before 3M started selling it. It is sold outside the U.S. under the brand name Anir, and is manufactured by Animax. This device avoids pronation and places the user in an orthopedically neutral position, unless you have to...

Good alternative to standard mice

Date of Review:  Jul 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: I found installation easy and performance to be excellent. 30-day money back guarantee from 3M makes this device worth trying.
Review: I have just installed this device and want to give my first impression. I will add to this review after I have more experience with it.

Installation on a Windows XP system was simple: plugged it into a USB port with computer off, turned...

A Nice Surprise

Date of Review:  Jan 14, 2006
The Bottom Line: Refreshing use of "non-mouse" fingers. Wish it had a scroll wheel and wireless option.
Review: I didn't know what to expect from this design, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable and natural feeling. Base acts as a hand rest, something the evoluent doesn't have. Rocker thumb switch allows me to rest my worn out index clicking...

The only no-pressure mouse

Date of Review:  May 28, 2002
The Bottom Line: I strongly recommend this product for anyone who is suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome or other hand/wrist problems.
Review: I have moderate to mild carpal tunnel syndrome (RSI) in both wrists. One problem with all mice and trackballs on the market is that none support the wrist in an orthopedically neutral position, that is, they all require you to "turn" the wrist...
