Pros: - Great for future upgrade (faster Athlon 64/FX) - Very stable
Cons: - Nothing! - Don't get refurb ASUS though!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: 939 pin Mobo for Athlon 64/FX. Thus very good for future upgrade. Doesn't have a PCI Epxress port, so unless you have tones of money to purchase new PCI-X graphic card, you won't need this. Therefore, for a regular gamer like me, with my 8x AGP I'm...

Review: I just upgraded my system from an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ on Asus A7N8X motherboard to my new AMD Athlon 64 4000+ on this Asus A8v Deluxe motherboard. Even though there are the newer and more powerful motherboards with SLI (Scalable Link Interface)...

Pros: This is the Cadillac and Lincolns of motherboards for the Athlon 64-939 processors.
Cons: None, an excellent motherboard.
The Bottom Line: This motherboard has it all, even at a price of $129, it is a bargain for what it will do!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Asus has done it again with the A8V motherboard that has it all from 8-channel audio to even a version of this board with 802.11g wireless LAN. (This review is without the wireless LAN)
It seems AMD is going for a new 64-bit processor with... |

Pros: Has everything except:
Cons: No SPDIF input.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Seems to be a great board. I have only one disappointment so far:
No SPDIF input. It would have been easy for them to include, but now to get it I'll probably have to disable all the on board audio stuff and get a totally separate sound... |

Pros: I found the motherboard to be far superior to my last two boards
Cons: I wish they would update their bios or give an updated one with the board
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I purchased the Asus A8v Delux along with the AMD64 3400 and had nothing but problems trying to get it to work. Asus replaced the bios chip and still it did not work. I got so frustrated with it I sent the whole lot back. I have been an Asus fan for...

Pros: Adaptive overclocking is nice. This motherboard doesn't seem to have any problems booting into Linux.
Cons: Getting it to boot up is like rocket science.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Has severe problems with bootup into Windows installation cd and Windows PE. My advice is to stay away from this product-- it's a major hassle.

Review: The last three PCs I have built have all been with ASUS motherboards, one was a a 754 Pin Athlon 64 and the K8v deluxe, and the other two were both using the A8v deluxe.
All three went together and booted up with zero problems, unlike other... |
