Pros:
Small but powerful;
Reasonable quality photos and movies;
Easy to use
Cons:
Picture quality is good but not great
The Bottom Line:
I like it! If you want an extremely capable and flexible web cam, this is it. Don't expect award winning photos and broadcast quality video though.

If you're looking for a web cam that can be used away from your computer, that can take still pictures and up to 2 minutes of movies with audio (sounds awesome doesn't it?) then you'll probably like this little camera.
If you're looking for a broadcast quality camcorder that you can also use as a webcam, this isn't it.
I was considering buying a webcam and was not in the market for either a pocket digital camera or a pocket camcorder. I didn't even know such things existed.
The first product that caught my eye was a pencam from Aiptek. When I tried to use it though, it crashed both of my computers. I called tech support and they were very helpful. They eventually suggested that the product may have been defective and recommended that I return it.
I was a little leery of that model so I was looking for an alternative when I saw the PocketCamX Digital Camera. In addition to being a webcam, it took still pictures with a built in flash, and video movies with sound. It has no optical view finder, you just frame the picture in the 1.5" color TFT display.
The camera is really small, very simple to use and fairly capable. I was especially pleased that it came with it's own little tripod. Out of the box it can take up to two minutes of video at 20 frames per second. With a 512 MB Memory card, you get up to an hour. Pretty impressive for a web cam that's smaller than a three musketeers candy bar.
Regarding durability, I won't know until I've had it for a while, my rating is just my best guess.
