Well, let me start out by saying, that my first iPod was a first generation shuffle (the white long ones) that I won in a contest. I loved it, but was sort of set back by lack of screen, but it was free so what I am complaining about. I listened to my shuffle until I guess a few months ago when I fell asleep listening to it, and it fell of my bed to the waiting jaws of my dog who chews ANYTHING if she has nothing tastier to chew. RIP shuffle.

Well, I started to miss my iPod, and it was birthday time, so my aunts and uncle got me a nano that I asked for as my gift. I love it, its small, that battery lasts long, it holds 2000 songs and video, so I can watch all my favourite video iPods wherever I am where as I used to have to sit at my computer and watch them.

The unit itself is very small and very thin, barely if weighs anything. It has a small very colorful bright screen that I love, and the signature click wheel that you use to scroll by lightly pressing it, so lightly, in fact that when "Jaws" started licking it one time (sitting on the floor) the volume all of sudden started going way up.

Now to the battery, which has been an issue in iPods, my shuffle never ever went dead no matter how long I listened to it, and this one seems to ge the same. It only comes with the USB cord, so I charge in on the computer, which is no problem. The iPod uses a Lithium-ion battery.

Sound: excellent. I love it. It is very clear, very crisp, and I can here every word spoken on it, no more of that word that sounds more like "hmmprrs" than the actual word that I have to make up myself because I cant understand it on the computer speakers. The headphones (or ear buds) are fine too. I like them because I dont like earphones that press on my ear, but these do get a little irritating after a while.

I got my iPod at Wal*Mart, where it was $197. For comparison, the 4GB was $149.

Final Word: For someone who does not want a big iPod (which by the way, this iPod does not skip like the big iPod does because it uses a flash memory rather than a hard drive) and/or a lot of songs this iPod nano is perfect! I do ever think of having 10000 songs, partly because I dont have $10000 and you need that much to have 10000 on iTunes (I was never into CDs). I highly suggest this product.
