Epinions My favorite carrier! I recommend to everyone!

by  rosebudjohanna,  Sep 7, 2005
Pros: Wear for hours, fits toddlers, folds up, great pocket & handle, easily worn by men.
Cons: Can be difficult to put on the back position. Doesn't come in black.
The Bottom Line: I would buy this for every mom I know if I could afford to!
Review: First of all, I would recommend visiting http://www.babytrekker.com if you want to see this carrier since there isn't yet a picture of it here. You can also purchase the carrier through the site. BabyTrekker was my fourth carrier/sling purchase. My ...

Epinions Most Comfortable Carrier on the market!

by  satie37,  Sep 24, 2004
Pros: Best 5 position carrier - well designed, no back strain, comfortable for baby!
Cons: Not as 'good looking' as some other carriers.
The Bottom Line: Designed by hikers for comfort. Even weight distribution, well padded baby pouch, pocket for stowing things, washable, 5 positions, newborn-40lbs.
Review: This is a Review on the original BABY TREKKER Carrier (not the First Journeys Baby Trekker). Having 5 children, I have gone through my various baby carriers but had yet to find one which was truly comfortable. My girlfriend, who is an avid hiker ...

Epinions One of the best baby gear purchases I've made!

by  jumpstart1,  Mar 24, 2006
Pros: Works very well as a front carrier, easy on my back
Cons: A bit difficult to use as a back carrier, nursing position not quite right
The Bottom Line: Excellent baby carrier--very comfortable for bigger babies, easy to use as front carrier. Perhaps the best baby gear purchase I have made!
Review: I bought this baby carrier when my son outgrew his Baby Bjorn (or rather, I did! My back couldn't take it when he hit about 17-18 pounds). I have had it now for about 5 months, and it has been AMAZING!! My son now weighs almost 23 pounds, and it is ...

Epinions Better than Baby Bjorn, Slings or Ergo

by  owlpal2003,  Jan 29, 2007
Pros: Baby can face in/out front or back. Comfort. Ease of use.
Cons: Not advertised well enough, it is WAY better than better-advertised carriers.
Review: This is the absolute best baby carrier I have. I have the "Deluxe Five Position Carrier" and it is the only carrier that I can carry my daughter on my back facing outwards, which is the most comfortable, least-claustrophobic way for both of us and keeps ...

Epinions Very Comfortable - Even for Long Walks With Heavy Baby!

by  sshess,  Feb 23, 2008
Pros: Super comfortable, versatile
Cons: Not very stylish, a little daunting to use at first.
Review: I bought my Baby Trekker second hand, and at first I didn't use it because it looked like some sort of octopus like contraption, so I bought a Baby Bjorn. I ended up with a sore back from the Bjorn, so I thought I would give the Trekker a try. My son was ...

Epinions Say Goodbye to Bad Backs

by  trishrod,  May 9, 2006
Pros: It's comfortable for bad backs, easy to clean, holds 40 lbs, adjusts for either parent.
Cons: It is so simple you might wonder what all the fuss is about.
Review: I am a first time mom, but went through a few borrowed carriers. I finally found this one which is awesome. Not only is it very comfortable for the back pain ridden post- pregnancy period, but it's easy to clean because it is completely cloth. My little ...

Epinions Wrong picture.

by  mommy_quigg,  May 20, 2006
Pros: Well padded, multiple carrying positions.
Cons: Wrong picture
Review: Please be aware that the picture shown is for the original Baby Trekker carrier. To see a picture of the First Journey Baby Carrier, go to http://www.first-journey.com/p hotosandquotes/pic3.jpg I HAVE contacted Epinions about this and it has not been ...

Epinions The carrier that saved the day!

by  adamsjill,  Aug 22, 2004
Pros: Can do front or back carry, comfortable, back support, dual side entry, babies love it!
Cons: Long straps, bulky, hard to get on back.
The Bottom Line: A versatile upright carrier great for older and bigger babies. Takes time to learn, but worth it!
Review: I got this carrier over 10 months ago, and am so happy to see it has been added and have a chance to review it, as I found it a great product and got a tonne of use out of it!!! Why I needed a new carrier, or how my beloved Bjorn failed me I ...

Epinions A great carrier!

by  knittingneuman,  Apr 11, 2005
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Bulky, difficult to assemble in back-wearing position
Review: I bought this carrier to replace the Baby Bjorn that I had (thankfully) borrowed. I found that the absence of a waist strap on the Bjorn made it very uncomfortable to wear for longer than 10 or 15 minutes (lower back pain). The Baby Trekker is very ...

Epinions Original Baby Trekker not ideal for 0-3 months

by  hjade,  Jul 4, 2006
Pros: Material is soft on shoulder straps.
Cons: Bulky to store, Hard to put on, Thick material makes mother hot.
The Bottom Line: This product is hard to use without a lot of practice and/or another adult to help. I would not recommend this for a child under 15lbs.
Review: I received The Baby Trekker as a shower gift and was very excited to have the opportunity to be hands free while still having the baby close. When my husband and I took it out of the box, immediately I noticed that the pack was cumbersome, the straps ...
