Bausch & Lomb Soflens Multi-Focal Contact Lens

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2003
The Bottom Line: B & L studied the Acuvue Bifocal lenses (which have been around a few years) and improved upon them. They hit a home run with Soflens Multi-Focal.
Review: I find I can no longer see close-up as well as I used to, for example I have to hold the phone book very far away to read it clearly. This is called Presbyopia and it happens to everyone as they age, typically becoming noticeable around age 40. It...

UPDATED: Bifocal/Progressive Experience (Don't Assume HMO has best price or selection).

Date of Review:  Aug 5, 2003
The Bottom Line: I think you have to try various brands. The Acuvue seems to have the most advantages overall but the Baush and Lomb were the best fit for me.
Review: This was my first experience with buying bifocal which are also called "progressive" contacts. I will discuss my experience buying contact lenses through an HMO vs buying at the local mall. I will also discuss my experience with various brands...

Best choice in bi-focal

Date of Review:  Aug 21, 2003
The Bottom Line: Best product if you want to ditch your bifocal glasses and want something that's comfortable.
Review: I tried every soft bifocal lens made - include RGP. RGP gives the very best visual acuity, but feels like a scratched cornea. I wore the Ciba Focus Progressives for a while but was nervous with driving vision - mid range was blurry. Focus...

Comfortable

Date of Review:  Oct 17, 2009
Review: I bought this after I tried Bausch & Lomb in the optic shop. I wore it and my eyes just feel so comfortable. The new feature made me easy to adjust to reach my comfortable level. Unlike others, my eyes don't feel tired after wearing for such a long...
