The Next Step

Date of Review:  Jun 14, 2000
Review: Bausch & Lomb's PureVision lenses are definitely the future of soft contact lenses. Their technique of blending in silicone into the lens material enhances the oxygen permeability of the lens greatly, and as far as eye health is concerned, this is a...

B&L Pure Vision Contact Lenses, I love 'em, though there was a short adaptation period

Date of Review:  Jul 13, 2005
Review: Adaptation: Thickness of the lens. Lens is much thicker than usually monthly disposable, but it doesn't cause discomfort. I (rarely) noticed the thickness of the lenses after the first week of wear.
"Rounded edges for comfort". Edges...

The Price of Convenience

Date of Review:  Apr 8, 2009
The Bottom Line: The convienence of being able to sleep in them and only need to soaked once a week is a plus, but comfort level may diminish before the 30 days.
Review: After trying a few different brands and make of contacts two years ago, I found the Bausch & Lomb PureVision to feel the best. Being a first time wearer, I found all of them have some kind of discomfort, but the PureVision felt the best.

I...

Better than Night & Day

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2006
Review: Focus Night & Day contacts had some sort of patent claim that resulted in them being the only contacts approved by the FDA for 30 day continuous wear.

Apparently that patent issue has been resolved, because Bausch & Lomb Purevision...

Best so far

Date of Review:  Aug 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: Get them, give them a couple of days to get used to it, and you will never go back.
Review: These contacts are great. I have never been able to see as clearly, because the contacts do not lose their shape if they get dry due to their stiffness. They almost never dry out and stick to my eye balls like most contacts do. They are better than...

Awesome Contact Lenses

Date of Review:  Oct 23, 2002
The Bottom Line: PureVision lenses are awesome, unsurpassed by several others that I have tried. Their value is good, because of durability, even if the initial price is a bit high.
Review: PureVision lenses are great. I wore them for two months and they are still in immaculate condition. Too bad they suspended production because of an antitrust lawsuit from Ciba that said Bausch & Lomb copied their product.

So I tried the...

I Love My Pure Vision Lenses!

Date of Review:  Jun 15, 2006
The Bottom Line: Very easy to use, very comfortable to wear
Review: INTRO

I have been wearing glasses since i was 16 years old (9 years now) and have always been reluctant to try contact lenses. The fear of me putting something in my eye was overwhelming! My son has just got to the age where he like to...

Not So Great

Date of Review:  Jan 12, 2007
Review: I have been wearing contacts for 12 years now. Acuvue has been my brand up until i went to different doctor and he gave me PureVison.
They are thicker and so they would get pulled around in my eye more. I did sleep in them a couple times but I...

Expensive and painful to wear!

Date of Review:  Jun 23, 2008
Review: I normally wear acuvue color contacts or Bausch and lomb soflens 38s. But my eye doctor suggested to try soft purevision lenses because they let more oxygen in, blahblah and are better for the eyes.

I tried them longer than most people...

Hate these lenses!

Date of Review:  Sep 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would NOT recommend these lenses.
Review: These lenses aren't even comfortable right out of the package. I don't see how you can even use a fresh pair for a full week...let alone a month. They always look like they have particles on them even after cleaning and rinsing, rinsing, rinsing!...
