Bissell 3750 vs. The Bachelor
Date of Review: Aug 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: Finally, an affordable Vacuum that can suck it all! If you're looking for something awesome, this is it. And I'm really picky about everything!
A few months ago, my old vacuum went kaput. The only cool thing about that vacuum was that it had a water filtration system, and all you had to do was flush the mess down the toilet.
So, after A LOT of research, I settled on the Bissell 3750-C. I looked at every comparible model out there, including the extremely expensive Dysan Vacuums.
Like most typical Bachelor's, I put off cleaning my apartment and let the mess grow. So, after 3 months of lettings things grow wild, and company coming over, I decided to finally whip out the Vacuum. (FYI: I am not joking about not vacuuming my apartment for 3 months! And Yes, my Vacuum sat dormant in a corner for 2 months. I really do procrastanate and don't mind living in filth!)
I have a large apartment (900 SQ. Feet), with a large single bedroom (comparable to a master bedroom), and a very large living room. After vacuuming both rooms, it was utterly amazing at the amount of filth this Vacuum sucked up. The dirt cup was filled to the Brim.
Every piece of lose bits... GONE! That would be food crumbs, hair, dead skin, random bits of this and that, and something that drives me up the wall the most, pil from socks. Of all the 3 vacuums I've ever owned, this one is the BEST! It can suck up fuzz that normally sticks to the carpet with all my other vacuum's.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this vacuum to anyone. Utterly amazing. I haven't tried all the features of the vacuum, such as the brush tools, or how it works on tiles / hardwood flooring, strap, etc...
Needless to say, the Bissell 3750 has bested the Bachelor. Nasty apartment mess... GONE!
Overall, with all the previous opinions on this Bissell, I am really happy to have bought this vacuum. I guess the last thing would be, watch where you get your vacuum, some have better accessories than others. I went for a package that had the powered head for the wand / hose, and shoulder strap..
PRO's
Phenomenal SUPER sucking ability, Awesome Shiny Red Colour, Switch to turn off the rotating brush for rugs, Easy to dump out and clean dirt cup, HEPA system, powered head for the wand (comes with some models, and not all)
CON's
Might be heavy for a Petite Girl (but the forward brush momentum makes up for needing to push it hard), A little loud (Tolerable. IMHO all vacuums are loud), "Maybe" cleaning the filters (I'm not there yet)
