This machine does not live up to expectations.

The Bottom Line: I absolutely recommend you stay away from this machine. It does not clean well, it is difficult to empty and clean, and it doesn't pick up water at all.
I have always used Bissell vacums and shampooers. I have never found an appliance made by Bissell ...until the Proheat2x, that I didn't love. This is the most unthought product I have ever bought.
First the water tank on this machine is small, very small. It sits right inside the dirty water that has been sucked back up into the machine making it very difficult empty the dirty water or know when you need a refill of clean water. As you empty it, the water splashes everywhere because you have a large plastic water tank right in the middle of your dirty water. Also, if the detergent tank if empty, no water will come out of the machine even if you have the setting set on "water only". I was also very disappointed to find out that the "proheat 2x" does not heat the water as it implies. Even with the "heat" switch is turned on there is no extra heat, and the extra heat was the number one reason I purchased this particular machine. The Bissel Proheat 2x is very difficult to use. When you use it as directions indicate, it really doesn't clean well at all. The proheat 2x does not pick up water well either. My carpets where absolutely soaked when the machine just would not pick any more water. As a matter of fact, I had to go to a local grocery store and rent another machine to get the extra water out of my carpet!
I have never been so disappointed in any product. This is the worst Bissell product I have ever used.
