Pros: Dose a great job at what it was designed for
Cons: That more people don't know about these.
The Bottom Line:
You could try if you have the time, and patients, to find something better. But you will not succeed. This is my choice after 15 years of looking. Review: Bose Companion 3 Multimedia Speaker System. First thing, beware; there is a Companion 2 system. Do not get that one by some sort of mistake. The companion 2 is an expensive toy, but the companion 3 is a great product. Expensive, ...

Pros: size and quality. the compact size is wonderful and doesn't take much room.
Cons: Too costly. There aren't any jacks to add more speakers
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you can afford it and this is the best I have ever had.
Review: I had a regular surround sound system from Best Buy. I had it connected to a 5.1 sound card. It went out on me after one year. I bought 4 other supposedly upgraded sound systems and they didn't sound and better than the cheap one from Best Buy. So I ...

Pros: Fabulous sound
Amazing clarity (once crackles cleaned up)
Accurate representation of instruments and vocals
Cons: Crackling when used on native Windows Media Player - Software related
Review: Sound is the only thing that a speaker system should be judged by. In this case Bose wins the battle hands down. I had a Logitech Z5500 that my wife didn't like in the computer area so I relegated it to the theatre as surround sound and had to ...

Pros: has a modern style
Cons: plastic enclosures looks cheap, detailed speaker specifications arent given, not enough power
The Bottom Line: If you want a good pc speaker system go with the klipsch or logitech systems, they are cheaper and sound better.
Review: I listened to this system from bose and it didnt sound very good for the price $250 (same price as my 500watt jvc stereo). The sub sounded like it was going to explode at around half volume, and the small sattelite speakers completely overpowered the ...

Pros: great sound quality, best i've ever heard, and nice looking product
Cons: a little pricey but you get what you pay for
The Bottom Line: Buy Buy Buy! If you can afford this then there is nothing close in terms of quality!
Review: i have read that other people have experienced hissing but to this date on my p c , there has been no hissing heard. i can only assume this is due to there computers hardware or software. The sound quality is amazing - the best sound quality i have ever ...

Pros: Nice design, solid feel, nifty control.
Cons: Un-natural sound.
The Bottom Line: For anybody that likes neutral sound, I can't recommend them. Since that's what I like, I must give them one star. I also can't recommend them to that same audience.
Review: I have never really been impressed by the Bose sound. Ever since I listened to their much ballyhooed 901-series many years ago, I didn't like their ideas on sound shaping and reflected soundstages. I didn't get a chance to actually hear this set at the ...

Pros: Lots of sound volume. Clever puck volume control.
Cons: Constant hiss, expensive.
Review: I had a set of Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks for many years and they served well. Passed these on and bought this Bose Companion 3 as a replacement. The constant hiss from the two small speakers is very, very annoying. It is very evident when music is ...

Pros: Better than your generic speakers
Cons: costs three times as much as it should
The Bottom Line: Do not waste your money on this system. You can get much better for much cheaper. There is absolutely no reason to buy these speakers
Review: These things are possibly the greatest scam on the face of the earth. No one else but Bose can get away with selling a 2.1 system with a 4" subwoofer and two paper Tweeters for well over $200. Are they clear? Yes. Is the sound quality good? If you ...

Pros: Great sound, Compact speakers, Nice bass
Cons: Pricey
Review: My wife bought this 2.1 set for me for Xmas, and I must say they are awesome, the details of the highs, and the Subwoofer get some nice deep bass which I never got with my Altec Lansing speakers. The Speakers are about the size of a deck of cards ( ...
