Best electric shaver yet
Date of Review: Jan 7, 2008
The Bottom Line: I was skeptical when I bought the Braun Pulsonic that I'd notice any improvement. I was wrong and very happy to find that out! It's worth the money.
I have upgraded three times from various Braun Clean and Renew razors. Most recently, I replaced my Braun Clean and Renew 360 razor with the new Pulsonic. I had upgraded to the 360 razor from an earlier version of Braun's first Clean and Renew razor and didn't find much improvement. This time, however, I've noticed a huge improvement. I can honestly say that the Pulsonic is just hairs away (pun intended) from being every bit as close as a blade. In the past, if I had to wear a tie to work, I would make sure to shave my neck with a blade because no electric razor ever got my neck smooth enough. While a blade still gives the very closest shave, the Pulsonic gives a shave that's almost as good and certainly good enough. Also, if you travel, you can rinse this razor under the faucet for a quick cleaning without the clean and renew system. This wasn't possible with my previous razors. The pulsing action is barely noticeable but definitely does pull the hairs from the skin better which, in conjunction wit the floating head and built-in combs, results in a much closer shave with fewer passes over the face. Finally, there's a 25-second quick clean feature -- think of it as "express clean" without the drying cycle. This time, it was definitely worth the upgrade.
