Bushnell H2O 8X48

The Bottom Line: I reviewed different models when making this purchase and couldn't see a reason to buy more expensive binoculars.
These are the first pair of binoculars that I have purchased. I was looking for a "general - all purpose" type of binocular. After researching different types of magnifications and spending time at stores, I decided on the Bushnell H2O 8X42. They seem to be new on the market and one dealer said they just received the shipment. I may never need the waterproofing, but I plan to use in different type of environments and like that option. Would hate to spend the money on a pair $10 cheaper and have them ruined by the elements. Came with a strap, a soft case and lens cleaner rag. Purchased mine through sporting goods store locally that had the best price.
