Pros: Performance, image quality, easy to use, 2 AA batteries, features, price, uses SD cards

Epinions Lots better by comparison

by  kentmom,  Oct 23, 2007
Pros: Easy-to-learn menus and settings; quiet operation; capable of recording up to 60 minutes of video
Cons: Sorta' slow regen time between flash shots
The Bottom Line: For the price, this is a very good choice that will serve well, and won't overwhelm, a snapshot-happy soccer mom, and won't disappoint a fairly knowledgeable photographer
Review: The Canon A720IS stands heads and shoulders above the (three) Olympus cameras I've used - and I found its menus and settings more user-friendly than the two Nikon Coolpix models I've handled. In the first few weeks of using this camera, I've found the ...

Pros: Many great features in a small digital camera you can take anywhere. Highly recommended!

Review: I've had my Canon Powershot A720 IS for over 3 months now and I love it. It's very easy to use and takes sharp, clear, bright color photos, and can go almost anywhere--I often carry it in a pouch on my belt, especially on vacation and during family ...

Epinions Light/pocketable high quality all purpose compact digital camera

by  dsantachiara,  Oct 21, 2007
Pros: Light/pocketable high quality all purpose compact digital camera. Minor improvements over A710is
Cons: ISO 1600 poor, Camera Windows software worsened, no wireless file transfer
The Bottom Line: Light/pocketable high quality all purpose compact digital camera. Some minor improvements over A710is
Review: - Premise The A720is replaces the less than two years old A710is at the same if not lower price: around 250 euro in Europe, 250$ in the US. It seems that even if nowadays 1 euro corresponds to 1,43$ the prices of electronic components in the US and EU ...

Pros: A little smaller (2 AA's), Bigger screen, more resolution
Cons: Long write to card time
The Bottom Line: Good camera. Good for wide range of users.
Review: Please note that this is basically a comparison between the A70 and A720 IS. I purchased the A70 in the summer of 2003. It has served me well until the sensor malfunction (for which there is a "recall"). I purchased the A720 on 12-20-2008 and received ...

Pros: Whether on the auto or manual settings, produces quality photos.
Cons: Flash recycle speed slightly slow, flash output in dimly lit rooms is weak.

by  stellstarr,  Jun 26, 2008
Pros: 8 megapixel clear sharp pictures
Cons: slow flash reaction time, card and batteries in same door.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for the average user.
Review: This camera is really great for the most part. 8 mega pixels make the pictures crisp and clear. A bit slow flash reaction time to take a second picture. There are many different options. I have not used it yet, but you can also change lenses. Canon ...
