For flatbed scanning - is as good as possible

Date of Review:  Jan 19, 2003
The Bottom Line: Buy it - don't wait for further improvements, I don't see how that can happen.
Review: I am using the scanner with an HP 2.58Ghz, USB2.0 computer with Windows XP. I have used the scanner mainly for scanning photos taken with a Nikon FE2 (some that were processed over 30years ago). I also have a Nikon Coolpix 5000 and a Canon S40...

A Great scanner, but first.........

Date of Review:  Apr 29, 2004
The Bottom Line: Epson, HP, watch out - The Canon busts a move!
Review: I'll assume you've done your homework, have all the specs and the Canon 8000F fits your basic price range and needs. If your an underpaid photographer like myself, and couldn't afford the 9000 series model, this is a wonderful and small step down...

Scanner heaven

Date of Review:  Feb 22, 2003
The Bottom Line: It combines speed, ease of use and consistent quality at a very reasonable price.
Review: As a software developer working in the document capture field I get to play with a lot of high-end, high-volume ($40,000 ) scanners. Yet this $200 machine thoroughly impresses me. The speed is impressive for such a comparatively small machine and...

The Canon 8000F Flatbed Scanner produces great pictures.

Date of Review:  Mar 22, 2004
The Bottom Line: The Canon 8000F Flatbed Scanner produces beautiful, high quality pictures and I highly recommend it.
Review: The Canon 8000F Flatbed Scanner is great for scanning photos and has a built-in 35mm film adapter for slides and negatives. The scanner also offers optical resolutions up to 2400 X 4800 dpi (dots per inch) but using the highest setting is not...
