I've had this scanner a couple of weeks now and the main use is to convert all my bills, letters and suchlike to "paperless" format.
I like the way that it will scan directly to a "searchable" PDF file, and the "text enhanced" scan setting works a treat for this. It will let you rotate "landscape" format documents and a typical A4 scan at 200dpi takes less than 10 seconds, and it will allow you to do multi page PDFs or add pages to existing PDFs.
Other benefits are that it uses LED light for scanning rather than a traditional lamp, which can get hot, and it's actually far slimmer than a typical laptop! It does not require a power lead as the power is all drawn via the USB2 cable. (They throw in the cable for free).
