The XTi is user friendly and functional right out of the box. Some of the extended features are a little difficult to understand, but the enclosed instructions do a good job explaining how to maximize the camera functions. The XTi is stylish and fits easily into the hands. If you are moving from the Canon film cameras (I had a Rebel G) the XTi is familiar, and compatible.
