this camera is suitable for the profetional and the semi pro the camera can be used buy a beginner but most of the functions would be usless unless they are understud properly you can get an endless range of lenses though they are very expensive ranging between 135 to 2000 depending on what you ar taking shots of the camera overall is extreamly well made though delicate if dropt on a hard surface at minimum the lense would break so it is advisable to insure the camera it costs only 50 pounds for cover from droping to theft, the lcd only displays the camera settings while taking photos you have to look through the eye pice to take a photo then you can view the shots on the lcd
