I went from a Minolta Diamage 7i, bought a little 10MP Casio for being out and about, and after working a small wedding with a friend that was using the Rebel XT and saw how wonderful his photos were, I went and bought the XTi. Not being too familiar with SLR's I am having a blast trying to figure out the bells and whistles. Being that I don't have another SLR to compare this camera too, I may be blinded, but I can't find anything wrong with it thus far.
