Great Camera!

I had a 35 mm SLR Canon Rebel before purchasing the Digital SLR Cannon Rebel XTi. I spent thousands of dollars on developing photos with my 35mm camera. Now with my digital I can take the same great photos but now I can edit and decide what I want to keep and what I don't.

I mainly use my camera for taking photos of family and children's sporting events. I have wanted to spend more time taking photos of nature or wildlife, but I haven't seemed to find the time to do that.

The lens that comes with the camera works great, but if you take any long distance photos (football, baseball, zoo, etc.) you'll defintely need to get a zoom lens. Which will run you about $200-300 more, but it's worth it. If you are planning to take close up, family photos, etc, then you'll do just fine.

The only negative comment I have about this camera is that it is very complex and just reading the manual is not very helpful. I will defintely have to take a class to understand what every button and setting does to my photos. So I wouldn't recommend to purchase this camera unless you are experienced or are willing to spend the time to learn.
