by  albany2005,  Oct 14, 2007
Pros: Compact & durable. Sharp photo's. Lots of features.
Cons: Small buttons, cheap battery cover, no exposure or battery info in LCD.
The Bottom Line: It is a great "something for everyone" portable point-n-shoot camera.

Epinions Mostly Happy

by  gpbard,  Dec 30, 2006
Pros: A quality consumer/compact camera with good zoom abilities at lower ISO speeds
Cons: So far I haven't encountered any problems.
Review: I tried both the SD 900 and the SD 600. I found both to be satisfactory but I was looking for something that would have the greatest combined optical and digital zoom. I found that the SD 600 pictures would get blurry when it was pressed to the zoom ...

Epinions Canon PowerShot SD900 Digital Camera - Now I'm A Believer

by  AliventiAsylum,  Jul 6, 2007
Pros: durable, high-quality pictures, easy to use, good zoom, video and audio capability
Cons: power button and capture button too close together
The Bottom Line: You can't go wrong with this camera - easy enough for a novice and enough bells and whistles for an advanced user.
Review: For years I resisted the digital camera craze. I had one at one time, but issues with my tendency to drop things and how durable it was, in addition to what I felt was an inferior picture quality compared to film cameras made me keep plugging away with ...

Epinions SD900: When an elph turns ten ...

by  theuerkorn,  Nov 16, 2006
Pros: Titanium shell, digic III processor, high resolution (bragging rights), size, face tracking, stitching assistant
Cons: No IS, small buttons, no appreciable improvement over lower MPx, "expensive", not easy to hold
The Bottom Line: Don't be blinded by the 10MPx, but it's still a great camera considering the size.
Review: Canon is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its venerable Elph product line with a bang. What better statement than matching the years with say 10 million pixels? Starting in 1996 with the APS sized film camera that basically defined the class of ultra ...

Epinions Long time to choose, one of my best buys

by  sam_lowry,  Sep 29, 2007
Pros: Excellent image quality, Titanium Case, Macro Mode, The Canon Interface, Fun Options, Good Video Quality
Cons: Zoom, Price, Manual Options
Review: Buying a camera is a long process, especially for a student without much money. After a long time looking for a good compact camera I finally made the choice of the Canon SD900. Surely it is not the east expensive of all the cameras on that saturated ...
